Good news: our Fleet Department is recruiting for a Compliance Controller We are seeking a proactive and organised Fleet Compliance Coordinator to support the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of our vehicle fleet.
Your day-to-day role:
At the heart of our business, you will be responsible for managing fleet compliance, driver performance, and vehicle maintenance activities whilst ensuring all transport operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and in full accordance with legislative and Operator Licence requirements
Your main responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with Drivers' Hours Regulations, Working Time Directive (WTD), tachograph requirements, and Operator Licence obligations.
Coordinate vehicle maintenance, servicing, inspections, MOTs, PMIs, and LOLER examinations to maintain fleet safety and availability.
Manage vehicle defects, breakdowns, repairs, and accident reporting, ensuring timely resolution and minimal operational disruption.
Monitor fleet performance through vehicle tracking and fleet management systems, producing regular compliance and performance reports.
Conduct compliance audits and support regulatory requirements, including Operator Licence financial standing and Traffic Commissioner obligations.
Maintain accurate fleet documentation, records, and maintenance files in line with legal and company standards.
Liaise with suppliers, repair agents, tyre providers, and internal stakeholders to support efficient fleet operations.
YOUR PROFILE
Experience & skills:
CPC qualified with a strong understanding of transport legislation, Operator Licence compliance, and fleet operations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Calm under pressure with excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Flexible, organised, and committed to delivering high standards of compliance and operational performance.
Interpersonal skills:
A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal and IT skills, able to build positive relationships across the business.
Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
Self-motivated and dependable, with the ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
Adaptable and resilient, remaining focused and effective when managing changing priorities and operational challenges.
Takes ownership of responsibilities, follows through on commitments, and consistently delivers results.
