YOUR DAY-TO-DAY ROLE
At the heart of our business, you will join us in leading the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of a busy vehicle distribution compound. You'll oversee site facilities, maintenance, contractors, security, and continuous improvement activities, ensuring the site remains operational, well-maintained, and fit for future growth.
Your responsibilities:
Lead the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of site facilities.
Manage maintenance, contractors, budgets, and site resources.
Oversee security, access control, and emergency preparedness.
Ensure health, safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders and service providers.
Drive continuous improvement by implementing best practices and innovative facility management solutions.
Lead health, safety, and compliance across the site.
Conduct risk assessments, audits, and accident investigations.
Develop safe systems of work and drive a strong safety culture.
Maintain compliance records and management reports.
Monitor contractor performance and safety standards.
YOUR PROFILE
Experience & skills
Proven experience in facilities, health & safety, or site operations management within a large, operational environment.
Strong knowledge of risk assessments, safe systems of work, audits, investigations, and SHEQ compliance.
Understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
NEBOSH qualification and IOSH membership (or working towards) desirable.
Experience managing contractors, security services, waste management, and facility maintenance.
Strong budget management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to develop training matrices, identify skills gaps, and promote a positive safety culture.
Excellent organisation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Interpersonal skills
Proven ability to deliver results and drive continuous improvement.
Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
Confident influencing and communication skills at all levels.
